Integrity at the core of our business
At Hydroscand, we believe that long-term success is built on trust. Acting with integrity, being transparent, and taking responsibility are central to our way of working. Our corporate governance model ensures that sustainability and ethics are integrated into daily operations and strategic decisions alike.
Sustainability governance is led by the CEO and Group Management, supported by a dedicated Sustainability Manager. ESG matters are embedded in our annual business planning and monitored continuously across the organization.
Our Code of Conduct and ethical foundation
Hydroscand’s global Code of Conduct outlines how we do business: responsibly, ethically, and in full alignment with international frameworks such as:
UN Global Compact
UN Declaration of Human Rights
OECD Guidelines
Agenda 2030 and the SDGs
The Code applies to all Hydroscand employees, as well as to our suppliers through a separate Supplier Code of Conduct. We offer mandatory training on the Code for all employees, both during onboarding and through annual updates.
Anti-corruption and whistleblower protection
Hydroscand maintains a zero-tolerance policy on corruption and bribery. While our exposure to high-risk sectors is limited, we implement strong preventive measures in regions where risks exist. All suppliers must commit to anti-corruption standards through our supplier agreements.
To ensure accountability, we provide a whistleblower system that is open to both internal and external stakeholders. Reports can be submitted anonymously and are handled according to strict confidentiality guidelines.
In 2024, no corruption cases or whistleblower reports were registered.
Information security and compliance
Protecting sensitive information is an essential part of our ethical responsibility. In 2024, Hydroscand introduced a cybersecurity awareness program across all entities. Employees receive training via simulated attacks and microlearning sessions.
Key 2024 outcomes:
Over 5,000 phishing simulations sent
66% participation in cybersecurity training
275 real phishing attempts reported by employees
In parallel, we align with GDPR regulations and are continuously improving our data security infrastructure to protect stakeholder trust.
Towards CSRD and beyond
As part of the EU’s green growth agenda, Hydroscand is preparing for full compliance with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). In 2024, we conducted a Double Materiality Assessment to better understand both our sustainability impact and financial exposure.
This process included:
Stakeholder engagement
Materiality mapping
Strategic alignment with the ESRS framework
Gap analysis and action plan for future reporting
We see CSRD as an opportunity to enhance transparency and strengthen long-term governance.
