Our commitment to sustainable development
At Hydroscand, sustainability is not an add-on—it is a foundation for how we do business. As a family-owned international company, we are committed to contributing to a better world while growing responsibly. We align our strategy with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and have defined clear focus areas to drive long-term impact and value.
Our sustainability strategy is built around three pillars:
People and Culture – creating a safe, inclusive, and empowering workplace
Responsible Supply Chain – building transparency and responsibility across our supplier base
Governance and Ethics – ensuring strong leadership, ethical practices, and regulatory alignment
Together, these areas shape how we integrate sustainability into daily decisions and long-term planning.
Reporting, transparency and progress
Hydroscand’s sustainability reporting is guided by the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and grounded in a double materiality perspective. We continuously improve our data quality and governance to meet increasing stakeholder expectations and regulatory demands.
In 2024, we:
Received a Silver rating from EcoVadis, placing us among the top 15% of rated companies globally
Completed a Double Materiality Assessment, aligning with ESRS
Introduced CSRD-aligned reporting practices
Collected detailed Scope 1–3 emissions data, using activity-based calculations to strengthen insights
How we work with sustainability
Sustainability is embedded in our group-level strategy and budget process. A dedicated Sustainability Manager leads the work, and ESG is a standing topic in Group Management meetings. We evaluate progress continuously using platforms such as EcoVadis and Kodiak Hub.
We take responsibility for our impact—on climate, people, and society. Our priorities include:
Reducing our climate footprint, especially Scope 3 emissions
Strengthening our ethical supply chain through training and monitoring
Promoting employee well-being and inclusion across our global workforce
Ensuring data security, integrity, and ethical compliance throughout the organization
Sustainability at Hydroscand is a journey of continuous improvement—and a shared effort with our customers and suppliers.
ISO certification
